Flame cutting, also known as oxy-fuel cutting, is a thermal cutting process that utilizes a high-temperature oxygen-fuel gas flame to cut ferrous metals. This method is widely used for cutting thick steel plates and structural components, making it an essential process in industries such as construction, shipbuilding, heavy machinery manufacturing, and metal fabrication.
Flame cutting is particularly effective for cutting carbon steel and low-alloy steels, as these materials readily oxidize when exposed to oxygen at high temperatures. However, it is not suitable for non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, or stainless steel, as these materials do not oxidize in the same way.

This process is ideal for cutting thick materials such as mild steel, carbon steel, and low-alloy steel with precision and efficiency.
